Are We All Related?

After doing the Ancestry DNA test I found some cool tools to help with my family tree research. One tool that Ancestry has is called DNA Matches. On that page they Match you with people that have also taken the test and there are many. It brings up the question, are we all related? I talk about this along with research from others on this topic.

Not everyone who we are related to would come up as a DNA match. On a company even if they are both on the same company

If they undestand what a 2nd and 3rd cousin is. Then they should understand that everyone is cousins in some way. It goes on and on. They have 50th cousins they have people who are 300th cousins

In part from the close family who most people all ready know. On ancestry have you had anyone one you know come up as a DNA mach. Like a friend or just someone who you all ready knew?

Maybe this is the same for dogs and cats. If they keep going back. They might all have a dog ancestor in common. Or a cat ancestor in common

Is a half sibling or 1st or 2nd cousin. Related to them in more then one way. Still on both parents sides?

Pedigree collapse does not explain the numbers problem. It just takes the necessary parent from a smaller pool.

As well as 8 Great grandparents and so on. Anther way of looking at it. Is they have 1st cousins. They all so have 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and 6th cousins. It keeps going on it would cover everyone

I've met people who I am sure that their parents were very closely related before they were married. I think the expression "Uncle Dad" is common to them.
