Thank you, Larry. That was a great overview of the Dutchman story. The real treasure is not the Dutchman's gold, but the myriad of stories, adventures, and so forth that the allure of the Dutchman's gold has created. The legend has for some people created a sense of purpose, given them something to pursue; for others, it has been a chance to adventure into the Superstitions in an old Willys Jeep with friends in tow, a chance to create memories. For so many of us, the storytelling (by gifted storytellers and historians) keeps the fire of our imagination stoked or perhaps reminds us (in my case) of stories our dad told us of the Dutchman's Gold. If it exists (I choose to think it does) it's probably better to remain forever hidden as the mystery, wonder, and pursuit, and the chance to share a common interest with other folks is where the real treasure lies. Let the story endure, indeed. Thank you again, gentlemen.

Thank you for sharing. I love watching your videos; as one individual who has spent time in the Superstitious Mountains looking for the Lost Dutchman gold mine. In my humble opinion the mine does exist but was buried over by the Great Bavaspi Earthquake in 1887. If you get a chance, it would be awesome if you could do a video about this massive earthquake that hit the Superstitious Mountains in 1887. I believe it registered 7.0+ it had to cause several land slides in the mountains at that time.

Watching these vids reminds me of when I was a kid in the 60's.
My Dad, and both Grandpa's bought TRUE WEST Magazine, plus other Western magazines that were popular at the time.
Seems to me, every other month, one or the other, were publishing stories about the Dutchman!
During those days with T.V. westerns, TRUE WEST MAGAZINE, EVERY man in my family owning at least one Colt Single Action Army, and my Dad always taking me and my brother to historical sites, I really fell in love with the history of the West.
I get to relive those childhood memories by watching your folks great channel.
THANKS SO MUCH.

Wow. The only WW2 Plaines I've seen come around Memorial day and Veterans day. And I was born and raised in California. But in the North bay area of California and I'm 61 years old. But I would have loved to see those P-51's doing flight maneuvers.

I would say the people seeking out the Lost Dutchman Mine are a mix of Treasure seekers, thrill seekers, History Finders and probably most of all Adventure seekers.

After watching this channel for years. I believe since the I think I was close to subscription 1000... I really enjoyed this video as an overview but it wouldn't be complete without the detailed pictures of all the Every one of them, men and a few women, the lines on their face could write long novels.... I stopped at every pic and looked every person over while the video was paused. It's awesome and I blew it up in the highest biggest zoo. . I couldn't study the things I carried on them. The boots, they wore, the style of their haircuts, , Who had side arms, I would even study the horses in the
I think a big hit would be a montage of every pictures. Every picture you can get in the highest Now that we can stop a video, pull a frame and zoom in, Study It for 10 minutes. I think that would be
as Always, , , , LIKE, LIKE, LIKE

I was introduced to the story of the Lost Dutchman Mine as a kid, but didn't realize it at the time because the author of the book (The Mystery of the Haunted Mine by Gordon Shirreffs) renamed the mine in the story.
