3 days ago there was a physical meeting between Wolves and LFC. No idea if Gomes was on the agenda though. Antonio Silva is a future star. Shame we didn't sit around that table.

Why is Liverpool FC saying no for a loan of Tyler Morton, to the German Bundesliga champions who also is going to play in the Champions League. He will get excellent experience and a lot of more playing time. If Liverpool FC still want to sell him after a season at Leverkusen, there would be a big chance that a lot of clubs would want to buy him and they would get the money they want for him. So refusing Leverkusen now makes absolutely no sense.

I'd rather Bajcetic go to Salzburg than Barca. Will likely get more playing time in Salzburg. And if he does get time in Barca, there's a chance he might want to go there permanently, which I'd rather avoid. Ideally he goes somewhere else than either of these clubs though - just because of Pep there, I don't think we should send a whole bunch of players there. But they are in the CL, and maybe it works out well so long as he gets good game time.

Loving this Chiesa signing, low risk. Potentially superb player. It's a win-win for me. The keeper I do not count as a signing. So thats one, is a summer where we needed to progress big time in order to challenge the ridiculously strong City and Arsenal teams. Not going to happen. We should be ok for third, again.

So I just been watching Fabrizio and he can confirm the following:

1. Darwin is very happy at LFC and is really happy with Slot’s training methods and plan for him, there has never been links of him to Arsenal and he does not want to move.

2. Andre is going to Wolves but no mention Joao to LFC yet.

3. Bentick have no intention of selling Silva to anyone. Enquiries have been made by some clubs but have been shut out.

So we can relax and enjoy. Hopefully a CB or DM is on the cards but no signs on any links yet.

i’m sad about bajcetic because i thought he could’ve made that 6 position his own this year, he’s better on the ball than endo and he’s better defensively than gravenberch so it was a nice mix but if he’s not 100% yet or slot thought he’d be third or even fourth choice in that position with mac allister about then sure loan him out and get him playing

Are we going to sell Darwin to Arsenal and try to utilize Chiesa like Diogo??? Would really hate to lose Darwin to an English club - especially a club challenging for the title.

Regardless of how good or bad Chiesa turns out to be, £12.5m is an absolute bargain for an Italian international, its win win in my eye. Not too often we sign Italians too which is not something Ive noticed til now

Had a thought. We all admit that this is a brand new team from a management and recruitment point of view.

We get told all the time that with big players talks go back 12 months or even more. With the 6 position we clearly put the hard yards in with Bellingham and Tchouameni but when the likes of Rice and Caicedo were available we didn’t have a long term recruitment team in place.

Now Hughes is the door 5 mins and can really only do so much in the time he’s had to convince players.
