"How many time zones in the U.S.?"
"Four."
"Yes."

Yet another case of people ignoring Alaska and Hawaii :(

On places crossing the date line (+1 day) you can say: Tomorrow I will go there today.

Interesting Fact: At New Year's Eve, here in Rio we wake up on the morning watching on the news how the New Year's parade was on Sydney. And that's just Dec. 31st morning.

Eddie's videos make me happy. I forgot thinking about the universe, life and anything else. But he show how funny is it.
I have a question. What is the TIME?

Wow, feeling happy to see my island on the world map.
Yeah Mauritius (next to madagascar)

We should just have one time zone, using the International Date Line time for the entire planet. Folks should just use local Solar Noon as the middle of the business day. Much simpler and gets rid of such idiocy as daylight savings and there being an hours difference between one step and another.

I didn't know Eddie does geography. I have a Bachelor's in geography, and the international date line and times in general confuse even me, especially when you bring daylight savings into the equation.

what does it mean if we go west back past the international date line?

because we go back a whole day if travelling East.
thankyou!

Damn, he didn't mention it was Lord Howe Island, and that it shifts by half an hour instead of a full one.

When did time zones come into being?

And what time is it when I'm staying where all longitudes converge? Can it be anytime I want?

The International Dateline shown is outdated. You forgot about the weird timeline of the country of Kiribati. It is the people of Kiribati in the Line Islands that celebrates New Year.

Kirabati is the 1st country to greet the NewYear. & American Somoa is the last country to greet the NewYear.
Eddie Woo. How come some people don't like DayLight Saving Time? I hate DayLight Saving Time Twice Yearly In March & In Nov. I Wish The USA Doesn't Follow Doesn't Observe DayLight Saving Time. Most Countries In Asia Don't Follow Observe DayLight Saving Time Twice Yearly In March & In Nov. You Know?
