Venice and Its Lagoon

Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide © 2012 | Venice, more than any other European city, has an endlessly seductive charm. For centuries, it was nicknamed La Serenissima, "The Most Serenely Beautiful One"— and for good reason. Along with sampling the sumptuous art treasures of Venice and exploring its back-street wonders, we'll cruise its lagoon, stopping in fiery Murano for glass, pastel Burano for lace, and murky Torcello for a sense of where Venice was born. #ricksteves #ricksteveseurope #venice

Many thanks to Rick and the team! This is my 2nd time watching this video, after the 1st time that must have been so long ago that I don't remember when. Have to say that I enjoyed it even better this second time around.

Been to Venice 3 times, but still appreciate every minute of this video. Thank you all for creating this for us.

Yes! Burano was my favorite part of Venice. Don't go without planning a boat ride to Burano.

Go out of season! Get to the main sights early or late, pick just one or two attractions each day and spend a lot of time getting lost, people watching and eating in small family restaurants, riding around on the vaporetti. Magic!!
