Didn't work for me either - the person isn't very clear in stating if the computer should be on, or off before holding the key combo - but it doesn't seem like it's worked for anyone that's watched this.

This advice is less relevant, since this is for older, Intel Macs. PRAM reset is not a thing on silicon macs, which have been the ones Apple sells since 2020.
