Arduino Solar Tracker. Horizontal Axis. Linear Actuator Powered.

Here is the X Axis of my Solar Tracker. Using Linear Actuator.

Here is a video demonstrating the x-axis. I'm powering it with an 18 Volt drill battery, which makes it move way too fast. I reckon I'll probably put 5 Volt to it when done.

In the U.K. the regulations on free standing solar installations, ie not on the roof of your house, state that they must be 5 metres from any boundary, so you might want to revise the plan slightly☹️
The only way to get any large solar in your garden is to build a long Pergola and make sure it is connected to your house in some way. Then cover that with several panels.

Cool project! I wanted to make something similar but to detect people and follow them. The thing is though I want it to be fast. I havent figured that yet.

Hi! How does the actuator automatically detect the best focal point of the sun to move accordingly? Is there a sun tracking module connected somewhere?

Thank you!! I want to pick this thing up but is there a way to control speed?

Hi ... what is the make of that linear actuator? It looks very expensive.

Si lo ponemos a escala, no sería mucha fuerza para el actuador? Me refiero por ubicación, esta muy cerca al eje

Hello, How can I contact with you about your solar tracker on arduino ? I have a question about it. Can you send me a private message, because I can't send to you.

Sinomedik.  I think I paid about £60 for it.
