Tesla misled MILLIONS of people at the Robotaxi event

The Tesla Bots were controlled by humans. They did not say that to viewers watching the event online. Only people who attended the event in person found this out.

the issue isnt that the technology isnt ready yet, its not that the robots were controlled by people, but that they LIED about it. If Tesla was honest from the beginning, saying this is only a demonstration of the robotic BODIES, and not actually the full thing they promised, then it would have been fine.

I think that everything was a lot worst at that event ... I am absolutely SURE that just as the Optimus were controlled by humans using VR headsets ... THE ROBOTAXIS ALSO WERE REMOTE CONTROLLED by HUMANS, just using POV cameras on board, etc. It's just the BEST way to avoid errors, problems, laggs, delays, slow responses, killing people, etc. So... EVERYTHING at that event was a BIG STAGED FAKE in my opinion. just trying to bring more dumb investors. Because if they did the remote control for Optimus Bots, It's very easy to think that they did the same with Robo Taxis.

Musk misled someone - I find that impossible to believe. Only a few days ago he promised they would have a 'legion' of Optimus robots for sale later this year and multiple legions next year. It must be true. It has to be true. Just like the Cybertruck is the most advanced, high-quality car ever built, held together with a super-strong exoskeleton made from a proprietary, advanced stainless-steel alloy . Just like the nationwide network of solar-powered gigachargers for the semi with electricity guaranteed at 7c/kWh. Just like the millions of Cybertaxis on the road. Just like the Roadster II people paid $250 million in deposits for over seven years ago. Just like LiDAR and RADAR are not necessary for advanced self-driving. Musk is a true genius. Worldwide, no other company or robotics researchers in the world can do what Optimus can do, it is simply just so advanced. Elon would never lie about Optimus or bring up Mars again simply to distract everyone from Tesla's poor performance and tumbling stock price. He is just too honest and ethical.

Seriously though, I do wonder whether Musk is just an out and out sociopath who will do or say anything to keep the dollars rolling in or whether he is simply so delusionally narcissistic that he truly believes what he says while becoming the most salient example of Dunning-Kruger in modern history.

If one looked real close at one of the shirt folding demos, showing off the bot folding a shirt, you could also see on the far left of the video, a person's hand move in time with the bot, twice, but only for a second each time. It was enough however to be sure, the bot was not folding the shirt on it's own.

Yes, the movements are impressive, and in a way, they are indeed moving on their own, but it's not due to some AI. It's still a human in control of it, as you said.

I had a guy at work, talking bout the video shown of the event, and the bot serving drinks. He was quite impressed. He said it was so lifelike.

Now that I have seen the video myself, and this video, I will have to tell him, part of the demo, was fake.

Is still cool that it's motor system does let it move so well. Now it just need a good AI in control of it.
