Ratchet & Clank - Dude Reviews

It's a good thing the Ratchet series became successful, otherwise there would be riots in the streets for what Insomniac Games did to Spyro.

I agree with your review entirely, but there is one more problem: The checkpoints are horrendous. There are plenty of times where i get really far on a planet, die, and be sent back. Then, i beat the section i was stuck on, die a few seconds later, and have to do it all over again.

10:00 The Collection isn't very bad, in case you're wondering.
The new widescreen makes some originally off-screen stuff look funny in cutscene (like when Ratchet gets the courier ship, and he's just frozen as the Novalis guy shows you it landing), and audio loops badly in the first game, but that's it. The Vita version of the first game is so much worse.

Funnily enough the voice actor plays 'The Janitor' in the sitcom Scrubs.

Getting a platinum trophy in R&C 1 on the HD collection is one of my proudest moments in gaming, not just because its my first platinum but also because of the significance of this series to my childhood

I sunk so many hours into this series....Going Commano in particular. Managed to get every single weapon upgrade. Imo, it's the absolute most intoxicatingly addictive part of these games

Ratchet and Clank is my favorite series of all time. I have just as much fun playing it in my mid 20s as I did when I was 9.

Hay, I earned the RYNO the legit way when I was younger and loved every second leading up to it because I was so excited to see what my hard work would get me and I definitely felt the effort was worth it.

Huge fan of the series despite my introduction to it being Size Matters on PSP... Got the HD collection a few months ago and have been having a blast with it since! Sad to see your original lets plays of these games gone, but your reviews are even more enjoyable!

Just got the platinum in the HD collection and beat it for the first time. Hands down one of my favorite platformers now. Totally starting on Going Commando ASAP.
