the teasers don't necessarily show just the start of the show; most of the andor trailers for example showed the revolution on ferrix in the last episode

I hope there are temple guards in this flashback, they are criminally underused and were probably the bulk of the jedi defending the temple

That means we will get to see how Grogu exactly survive the Jedi Temple massacre as we see he witnessed the fall of Jedi trying to protect him.

I initially thought that it would be Grogu and a parallel to Din's own past when he was found during the Clone Wars, but since you mention a siege on Nevarro I'm asking myself if we maybe get to see a new foundling that they take in after this event.

I'm curious to see what triggers him to remember it again. In the second season, Ahsoka talked about it after her telepathic conversation with Grogu, interpreting what he knew up to that point. In Book of Boba Fett, Luke used the Force to help him remember back home so what happens in Episode 04 that would cause him to think about it and retrieve more memories in his mind? Does he feel a disturbance in the Force? Reunite with someone? Begin talking so he tells Din about his life before he met him?

I think "The Foundling" is going to be in reference to both Grogu and Din. The founding in ep1 was just a fakeout for people to think it was a flashback before Din came to the rescue. I don't see why this would have anything to do with him.

Now that Din has been redeemed, it would make since that they would show more of his history as a foundling to give viewers a better understanding of why being a Mandalorian is so important to him.

It's going to be very interesting to see what triggers Grogu's flashback to Order 66 but poetically, it ties in perfectly with Din's rescue by Death Watch.

Think of it also this way - this is going to be the first time Grogu is actually hanging out with the Covert. Keep also in mind that throughout the season, we've seen ritual after ritual. Clearly Din is going to have an influence in compelling the covert to return to the planet they once took sanctuary in. Filoni writing means it's also going to have Grogu's journey as a focus (perhaps we'll get a revelation, even) But I think there's going to be something to Grogu being part of this new family.

The previous episode was a parallel too - the convert, the change. Both Penn Pershing and Bo-Katan Kryze experienced big changes in their lifes in that episode.

Grogu actually was watching the Jedi temple massacre on FaceTime he wasn’t there physically..

I think "The Believer" referred primarily to the Imperial commander that Migs shot dead, Valin Hess. Both Din and Hess are former believers, or at least Din is having doubts. But Hess? Oh, he's a believer through and through. Never had a moment's doubt, and eager to do even more.

Imagine if the whole of episode 4 is a grogu flashback about escaping the jedi temple.

Din Djarin was also a foundling, wasn't he? I was thinking we might learn something of his history.

Oh that’s a good theory! I hope you’re right! A back and forth type episode where we see Din and Bo and the covert defending Nivaro, and the jedi trying to defend the temple. I can’t wait for the order 66 flashbacks. And it’ll be interesting because the jedi defending the temple failed where as this is likely to succeed. I hope we get more of the kid from the first episode. But don’t forget that Din was also a foundling.

”One of the directors” is Carl Weathers, aka Greef Karga. He is directing the episode though, as stated in his tweet. His second diector’s credit on Mando.

You missed the fact that Din Jarin was a foundling himself

I’m literally dying waiting on Mando every week. Great season so far

I thought it would be a flashback of Din and a flashback of Grogu, but the child from the first episode would make sense too
