Is Ultraman Arc good? (Season Review) #ultramanarc

Two things I really liked:
1. the backstory with Arc's (Rution's) home, about the expanding sun, the energy portals, etc. I thought that was super original and fascinating worldbuilding.
2. The vague mystery of Rution does he REALLY look like? Does he only look like an Ultra because of Yuma's imagination? Is his native form totally different? Is this an example of TWO very different beings coming together to combine INTO the Ultra Hero?

Both Blazar and Arc are such refreshing entry of the modern Ultra series.

As much as I like Arc, I really hope for the next season that they give us a bit more focus on whatever plot they choose to do. I love Ultraman for these big concept episodes and such, don't get me wrong. But I miss the scale of the plot that other seasons had, like Geed for example.

As my first Ultraman show, I loved this series, and hearing that it is decent makes me excited to see other Ultra-series that might be even better!

The episode where both Kaiju and rain vanishes from the world really stuck with me. Not because of the Kaiju vanishing, but from the question I had. How would a world without rain survive? Since without rain, various locations won't be suitable for life to survive. The land would be dry and plants won't be able to grow.

And the only reason why the rain vanished was because of the how antagonist of the episode, the man in the mask, used how rain is used as terrible weather to justify it's vanishing. Which also goes to show how we as people tend to not think much of what is actually important to life on Earth surviving.

Arc and Blazar are two of the best Ultraman series since New Gen Heroes. Shocked nothing stood out to so many people in the comments.

I would like to see the green screen room return in Ultraman Omega. I know not a lot of people are a fan of that, but I started watching Ultraman in the era that that stuff was happening, so I kind of attached to it. So, I would like to see it return, especially since we may or may not be returning to the new generation heroes world in Ultraman Omega.

Arc was a really good season. I think I enjoyed it more than Blazar (which I thought was good too)

The reason Earth was in danger was interesting as were the Arc fights. The casting was good but I prefer it when the humans have their own super weapons like in Decker or in Blazar.

Can I recommend you some ultra shows to check out, first is tiga(highly recommended), taiga is also my personal favorites(they have a pretty intersting setting and a theme about aliens), Gaia and dyna are as good as the other. For showa era it gotta be ultraseven.if you want see something unique and more darker(ultraman ace or nexus)

Personally I really enjoyed Ultraman Arc. It was my first Ultraman series so I didn't try to focus on learning any of the franchise's tropes and tried to enjoy it as the series it was. And I loved it. I was really bummed it was only 25 episodes though, because tokusatsu is known for having around 50 episodes and now we have a tokusatsu series that's as long as your average 2-cour anime? I don't know it bummed me out when I found out. I enjoyed what I watched though, but now comes the struggle of finding another Ultraman series to watch

It started off strong but the ending was very mid. Also the Blazar crossover was an absolute fumble.

I can totally see Arc being a forgettable series a few years from now.

There always have been different ultra beings out there even the ones who looks like ultra that are not from M78 like Victory, Orb, Fuma, trigger, tiga, dyna, Gaia, and many more. Shoot the first non ultra being like we first follow is ultraman leo

As HQ looked like a remote branch of a small Japanese company where employees are sent as punishment. I expected it to be a smaller series, to raise money for something bigger after the spectacular Blazar. I was hoping for local relationships in a small town like in Ginga. However, I think the other characters were not used as much as the BL between Yuma and Shu. The Blazar arc was wasted (maybe apart from Zangill, although he was also kind of slapstick and we only saw his seijin form) due to the lack of captain Gento - Yuma was thinking about the other Ultramen throughout the arc, not because he needed support in the fight, but so he could talk to someone about this duty. Instead, we had a roaring Blazar for 5 minutes. On the plus side, I liked the creative use of attacks and different camera perspectives, I rate the episodes that do not push the plot as good. Apart from that, my opinion is similar to yours.

I just wanna say that Arc is a show with a rather nice vibes but sorry I don't fully watch the entire series.
First, I don't like how they use imagination as the main topic or catchphrase but eventually it's... Not really being used as much
Second, my most dissapointed moment was when Yuma actually crossed dimension and meet Blazar, that was such a cool episode, so fun to watch and so much potential...that being wasted like, ugh! If only this show could go deeper and made that into a more serious plot!
But well... It's Ultraman after all...
Also I'm sorry but Rin was so pretty and sexy... ♥
