Season 1 elder veteran here, league spaghetti code makes it so dashes (usually) dont move your hitbox until the end. Its why you can yoink gragas out of his body slam by grabbing where he started it with thresh or blitz

Dashes in League are weird, where of they don't place you at the final position until the animation is finalized. There is a split second where she still wasn't at the end of her dash position so it, pulled her back. At least that's how I remember it explained. Still, ive seen champs walk out of w I don't know how it pulled.

it probably just checks at a variant time if the enemy champ is out of the zone, while also varying the gap between that and the pull. spaghetti code and netcode
