Very good points Dave. For the average user at home just looking to maintain their vehicle either weekly or bi-weekly, chemical decontamination every so often (even once a year) would be a perfect option to help their sealant or wax or choice bond. With so many different spray sealants and sealants enhanced with Si02 on the market these days, the options are really limitless, and would fit even the tightest budgets. If the contamination was really bad, they could add the addition of a very mild clay bar or block and use something like a glaze or something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish to fill in the micro-marring a little bit and then top with a decent wax or spray sealant as a quick final LSP and 90% of the world would be 100% happy with the results! And could easily get it done on a morning or evening of a day off. Also, like you said in other videos, for teens or young adults looking to make a pretty decent amount of money in their spare time just offering the basic valeting services such as a vehicle wash, quick coat of wax, and maybe a vac and wipe down of the interior, a few basic detailing items is all that is really needed. 95% of the world's population who own a vehicle of any type are only looking for the basic valet. Too many "new to detailing" detailers get into detailing and want to do like 20+ year experience level detailing with freakin' 10 different type polishers, heat lamps to dry ceramic coatings, scissor lifts, and heated/cooled detailing shops. And probably 70% of those type people FAIL! They jump too far in, way too fast. Those type detailers started out doing the basic valet and worked their way up. It may have only taken them 2 years and they moved up really fast, but still, they started basic. First, see if it's something you REALLY want to do. Many getting into valeting find out it's REALLY HARD WORK! You are out in the sun, wind, rain, cold, heat and humidity, snow, etc. Your body hurts like hell and after three or four months, they just give it up after finding out it really wasn't for them, and keep their detailing supplies and tools as an enthusiast for their own vehicles. Could be a expensive job experiment. On the flip side, as you know, their can be a very lucrative job opportunity for some. And if you become friendly with the higher end detailers in your area and explain to them that you'd like to work in their market area as a basic valeter/detailer, a lot of them will actually throw a lot of business your way. They have their specific clientele who are looking for the high end detail and willing to pay for it including all the add-on's etc. Some of the nicer high end detailers will gladly throw you a bone and direct that person to a valeter who specializes in basic wash / quick interior clean packages. Sometimes they may be throwing an overwhelming amount of business your way. Do yourself a favor, buy several extra boxes of business cars (they are fairly cheap) and stop by these high end detail shops and introduce yourself and give them a stack of your business cards or a whole box. Next time a client comes in who wants a real basic valet and interior wipe down (which is really not the client's that the high end shops deal with), chances are they will remember that new starting out detailer who had the respect to come introduce themselves and explain what they are about. Chances are, being most high end detailers are good people who came up through the detailing ranks over the years, will be more than willing to help out new detailers when they can. Especially if it helps both the customer AND the new detailer. The high end detailer has no interest in doing that type of basic work, however, if they give the person inquiring a good reference which is more in line of what they are looking for along with the price amount they were looking for, it only makes your own professional business look even that much more professional. Granted, some detailers are going to want the maintenance washes and ANY business they can get because it's all about they money to that particular person BUT in my experience over 40 years detailing, doing basic valets and quick cleans aren't really the type people going to those high end establishments. I would visit every high end detailing establishment within a 30 mile radius! Give them all a stack of your cards to pass out if they are giving away jobs they don't want to do due to being booked for a year already or for whatever reason. I have actually had friends call me and ask for help on projects they themselves are working on and they have a time frame to stay within. We then work out a cut of the profit for the help and it works out great for all involved. Detailing professionals are a bunch of like minded professionals and many help out many others seeking nothing in return. That's just the way detailers tend to help each other out. And are very glad to do it!

Probs my fave detailing YouTuber now. I said last year you were in my top 5, but now I never miss a video.

Much more useful information than some which are just the same concept over and over. Yeah disaster details have amazing outcomes, but detailed info (which you provide) is what I lean towards more.

Keep it up mate
