Music can trigger so many emotions and memories. 'Cars' by Gary Numan instantly takes me back to the feeling of being at house parties with my friends just after I finished school. It's getting the Friday Funk Jam treatment today with synths courtesy of ARP, Moog, Roland and Sequential Circuits. 🕺

Drums - Linndrum
Bass - Moog Grandmother
Synth - SCI Prophet 5
Strings - Roland VP330 Vocoder Plus
Synth Solo - Moog Multimoog
FX - Arp Odyssey

Very nice! How about "Electric Avenue" by Eddy Grant?

This song begs to be played on a PolyMoog

Don't know if that part at the end was part of the original groove ... but I like it!

Ya know, I’d hate to ask, but are friends electric? Are they?

I found the preset #217 with some minor tweaking on the modern Prophet 5 is the perfect sound for the opening.

How do you do the warble at the beginning. Great video.

I am enjoying the videos. You can obviously play... and I love seeing the collection of vintage synths used.
But I am curious, even though these are "your" recreations, what was the choice to play all the lines staccato. Why not play the lead line legato? Keep up the great work. Love the short videos

Great song and it’s so cool that you make a cover with synths from this era, and I have a question do you can make a cover of kajagoogoo (too shy) or kajagoogoo ( ooh to be ah ), please 🙏, thanks 😊🙏

This masterpiece was clearly played on an entirely different synthesiser.

Good, but the original carries a lot more punch.
