Rob: "it's DC's reboot!"

That Etrigan quote of "Camelot Camelot by your Beauty I'm Struck even the demon must admit. What the F*ck?!" basically sums up the Death Metal event for me, as much as i loved BWL, as much as I love Scott Snyder, tbh the whole Dark Multiverse stuff seems dry and unfulfilling now. I still think the side stories under the "Tales from the Dark Multiverse" banner are good as it gives us an interesting take on some classic stories like Death of Superman and Knightfall, and even giving us a perverted look at what if Barbatos won in the original metal event. But the current stuff with Death Metal seems like its overplayed at this point.

Out of every character in this event, the only one I care about being dead FOR GOOD is Batman who Laughs.

Batman raising his dead batfamily to fight with him was great. Also damn Lex went out like a hero. Only thing left is a tales from the dark multiverse death metal and I'd be happy.

Plot twist:

"The Hands" are actually the hands of DC's editorial staff.

Well, here's hoping we finally get a crossover between Marvel and DC that does them justice.

Man. Glad to see that the Batman who laughs STILL HAS HIS ABILITY TO COMPROMISE. He literally is having a business meeting while getting beat up by Wonder Woman lol

When the disembodied voice started talking to Diana and telling her how selfish her universe was, after she sacrificed herself to defeat the Batman Who Laughs, I just started shaking my head. Really? REALLY?!

I like how this event utilized the tie-ins to tell some really good stories and main issues slowly moved forward.
I loved Death Metal, looking forward to Future State and beyond.

If I’m interpreting this correctly, then the Diana of Death Metal, who ironically, was created by TBWL, will join the Hands and exist at a higher plane of existence working with them while the WW we knew will be part of the new merged DC history going forward.
