I just stumbled upon your channel. I'm an EE with 5 years experience and it's been great refreshing my knowledge on some concepts that have gotten a bit rusty on me. You explain things incredibly well. +1 to your subscriber count.

Ammo1313 - What appears to be "bare" copper wire in the video is in fact "magnet" wire.  Copper wire with a high temperature clear/colored insulating varnish.  Not really a good idea to twist the wires together as shown in this video because too much flexing of the varnish will caused it to fall off and then you will have a short circuit instead of an inductor.

the first vid which explained inductance very clearly. and it isn‘t unnecessary long in comparison to others. good job!

I LOVE inductor. They are the underdogs of the passive components

Can you do an episode on making an inductive heater?

Your videos are amazing! I don't know why I've been learning electrics at college for the past 2 months, I've learnt so much more on your videos in a couple hours! Makes great revision, thanks man.

Thank you for posting this series of tutorials! I must say, you have an amazing ability for making the most abstract concepts as clear as a bell for thickheads like me, while still finding a way to make learning entertaining! Who says knowledge has to be boring? Well done, sir!

Excellent videos. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into these.

If you want to build a small generator(dynamo) for bike lights let say, can you approximate power output by knowing how many henrys you have in a coil?

0:36 may i know what is that box-like component behind? i scavenged one from a radio too but i am not sure what it does. thanks

I have just watched 5 of your vids and just subscibed. How in the world would anybody dislike this video is beyond me.I am currently getting my BA in engineering and your vids are more informative and relative than most my classes, are you a teacher? anyway I will watch all your vids PLEASE PLEASE KEEP THEM COMIN. and Thank You

@ 1:56 the air-core inductor appears non-insulated, shouldn't you have used coated copper like in windings?

Please, could you suggest a good, yet cheap, equipment! I wanna get back into service repair and, preferably, do more R&D and an afordable anlyser would come handy including that LCR meter you mentioned.

would the secondary of a mini iron-laminated transformer be in the microhenry range or the millihenry range?

what is the exact purpose of an inductor? Is it just to slow down the current flow?

Hi my name is Roger 64 years old and was wondering if inductance could tell me
what the Amps would be on the out put of a transformer I just bought a inductance
meter and I am not sure how it going to help me new at this.
Regards Roger.

Youre making awesome videos especially for begginers with electronics.

@Ammo1313 An inductor can be made from about any wire, as long as the coils are isolated from one and the other.

So why if Capacitors and Inductors are very similar are they both used? I assume maybe inductors are for filtering signals and caps for filtering voltage/current?
