MST Golf’s "My Game My Style" pop-up event at Starhill
Golf is breaking away from its old stereotypes and emerging as a trendy sport among young Malaysians. This shift is being celebrated at MST Golf’s "My Game My Style" pop-up event at Starhill, Kuala Lumpur from June 19-24, running daily from 10am to 10pm. Historically seen as a pastime for the wealthy and elderly, golf is now attracting a youthful demographic with its modern, streetwear-inspired outfits that make the sport fun and cool.
MST Golf, a leading retailer in Malaysia and Singapore with 35 years of experience, is at the forefront of this transformation. The retailer has embraced a variety of youthful and trendy brands alongside established names such as Under Armour, Nike, adidas, Puma, and TaylorMade. At the "My Game My Style" pop-up, MST Golf will showcase four cutting-edge brands that perfectly blend performance and style: Malbon Golf, Manors Golf, Students Golf, and WAAC.
Founded in 2017 in Los Angeles, Malbon Golf has quickly become a favorite among stylish golf enthusiasts, known for its playful mascot "Buckets" and fashion-forward designs. Manors Golf, established in 2019 in the UK, merges the timeless sophistication of golf with modern aesthetics. Students Golf, launched in 2021, brings youthful energy to the golf fashion scene with designs inspired by real experiences on the course. WAAC, a South Korean brand founded in 2016, challenges traditional golf stereotypes with its bold and playful approach, embodied by its mascot Waacky.
Visitors to the pop-up can expect more than just fashionable apparel. MST Golf has organized a series of engaging activities and exclusive offers to enhance the experience. Golfers of all skill levels can participate in a golf putting challenge for a chance to win exciting prizes. Participants can also enjoy a free coffee (available daily from 11AM-3PM), prepared by volunteers from United Voice, an organization supporting individuals with learning disabilities. All proceeds from this engagement will be donated to United Voice, adding a charitable aspect to the event.
In line with their commitment to sustainability, MST Golf will feature an upcycling activity where visitors can turn single-use plastics into golf tees. This initiative is run by Precious Plastic Malaysia and aims to reduce plastic waste. It is available June 23 (10AM–4PM).
Exclusive perks are available for early shoppers: the first 10 customers who spend more than RM3000 will receive a WAAC golf pouch, and the first 20 customers who spend over RM750 on Students Golf products will receive a Students Golf ball marker.
