Id tell her that she's a girl which is effectively meaningless, that she can achieve anything in the world but just because she's a girl doesn't mean she should get special privileges.

That's what I would tell my daughter, because it's true.

Dear Men, who were hurt by this video, not everything is going to be about you. This is a powerful video for women, and it spoke well so take your problems else where.

When I first watched TED, I thought it was awesome! Scientific discussions, interesting entrepreneurs and unbelievable life stories. These times are gone. Sad.

It's weird how this video got a major thumbs down but she got a standing ovation from the audience.

Dear TED,
Thank you for sharing new ideas like this one with me. I know that not everyone is up for the challenge of learning something new, but I am. Remember that your slogan "Ideas Worth Sharing" is a fundamental part of who you are and it should be a quality that all subscribers seek.

And to the subscribers,
You may have whatever opinion or preference you wish, but you can at least be respectful of every idea that is shared on this platform. Stop spreading hate through your snide remarks and deprecating words. Instead, gain respect for this idea. Disagree if you want, but don't attack who she is. She wants to share her perspective, and it deserves the same respect and attention told by history's greatest minds.

There's something heartbraking about untalented people trying to act and sound epic.

Despite all the negativity I think this is a very thought provoking talk and brilliant piece of art. It's understandable that not everyone can relate to what she's saying but it doesn't make it not valid.

So to sum it up this women is telling every mother to tell their daughters they are as big, strong and as powerful as men. 2035 the year most women get beat up by men due to equality.

I think I will tell my daughter that even under accusations of racism, misogyny and other outrageous slander, I still acted under rational thought. And I will hope she finds the patience and courage to do the same.

I think she spoke beautifully and the fact that so many men have displayed their distaste in her speech simply shows why she needed to address the issue.

My girls are passed listening to me, however, I have granddaughters. Both had fathers that they shouldn't. I tell them follow the two greatest Commandants and remember that your Churches will always be your place of refuge. Never feel alone, look inward for the holy spirit to guide them. Follow their intellect, be wary of emotional issues. Hatred has no authority over love.
