Where I live the local stagehands union is the only group that can touch this project. They have to assemble the floor piece by piece then seal it. After the game, everything has to be carefully broken into sections and marked for reassembly and trucked off to storage.

In some cases crews begin work after the game is over and work through the night, especially if there’s a baseball game the following evening. So there’s a ton of union overtime involved and God knows that ain’t cheap!

Reminder, this isnt the first time this has happened. The Game of the Century was played in the Astrodome with AP#1 UCLA vs AP#2 UH in 1968. The game was one of the first college sporting events televised on national television. Its also uploaded in whole on YouTube. Highly Recommend you watch! Go Coogs!
