Using OAuth with AMPLIFY Central: Part 1 - Setting Up An Okta Server

API service providers in AMPLIFY Central have the ability to use 3rd party authentication servers (such as Okta) to secure and validate API services with OAuth tokens. In this demo, we will explain how to setup a server and application using Okta.

- Select Security: API from the menu and click Add Authorization Server.
- The Audience field must be exactly "Amplify Central"
- Add a Scope to your application, set it as a default scope, and include it in the public metadata
- Add an Access Policy, then add a Rule. Default options are fine.
- Select Applications: Applications from the menu and click New Application
- Set the Platform to OAuth Service
