You should also be able to carry an ECM pod to help mitigate the radar targeting of enemy SAMs. Assuming gaijin will implement it along with SEAD/DEAD

Also keep in mind, by this point you'd have Anti-Radiation missiles as well as very early jamming pods. To a mission like that with the jet you're using.

Meaning if this becomes an official game mode, those systems (at least the Anti-Radiation missiles) will come to the game a lot sooner than later

Brother, SEAD is mainly electronic warfare (Suppression of Enemy Air-Defenses)
You’re talking about DEAD(Destruction of Enemy Air-Defense)

You need a wingman to help you, someone to lure the missiles and the other to quickly destroy ground AA then take turns. looks neat but you will need to coordinate with at least one mate.

Early SEAD ?

For USA they can have Nikes and Hawks and AGM-45s and aided by EA-6s

For Russia they can have S-75s aided by S-125s or Kubs and Kh-28s and Yak-28PPs

No idea how they will do late cold war.for USA they'll have Patriots aided by Hawk-IIIs and AGM-88s aided by EF-111s whilst Russia will have S-300s aided by Buks and Kh-58s and Su-24MPs.

For modern we would have For USA Patriot PAC-3s aided by (they don't have a medium range modern system) with AGM-88Es and EA-18Gs so pretty much what Russia is dealing with in Ukraine minus the air EW assets although Su24s can carry ECM pods and for Russia they'd have S-400s aided by Buk-M2s with Kh-58UShEs and Il-22PPs or Su-34s with ECM pods

Top tier will be unplayable and USA has never faced modernish systems like Buk or S-300 so won't know how well they'd actually do lol

With the match making being historically accurate I’m surprised this guy hasn’t got a massive problem with it

We have BVR Air to Air. If we get BVR Surface to Air, we also need to remove the cutoff on visual range targeting pods. Plotting points on the map can only be so accurate, and long range Air to Ground munitions aren't compatible with many aircraft anyway.

Would be nice to see ECM be implemented, some aircraft have them already modelled but as fuel tanks 😅

this would be very fun with something like the ea-6b for jamming and attacking alongside other fighters, a lot of fighters could get agm-45 shrikes or agm-88 harms
