To be fair, this is quickly becoming one of the most intensively studied illnesses ever. It could very well be that other diseases have a lot of symptoms we don't really notice/get chalked up to other things because they haven't been investigated on such a wide scale.

It just had so many DNA points and just maxed out in symptoms

I have to get biweekly injections from a nurse so I must have been asked the symptom questionnaire about a dozen times now, and every time there are more and more symptoms in the list. Nice to know why!

I’ve gotten each symptom except diarrhea, fever, and loss of taste and smell.

After 12 days I think my symptoms are finally lessening.

I don’t like the idea of COVID-19 infecting the lining of my blood vessels. That just feels uncomfortably close to hemorrhagic fever territory.

I work in a nursing home. That is where contracted mine. I lost my sense of snell and taste for about a week. My left hand sometimes increased in temperature. I could feel heat radiating off of it with my other hand. My coworker hasn’t had a sense of smell and taste for 16 weeks. Her MD doesn’t think it will ever come back.

A couple weeks back I tested positive for covid. I can say that one of my symptoms was loss of smell and taste. Those couple days was so weird. Not being to smell anything or tasting my favorite food. But I slowly got it back.

I take it these effects on the lungs would explain the scarring in the lungs, and why some people, even when free of the virus, may not fully recover from the infection.

Considering that the ACE2 receptor is found in so many cell types, comprehensive studies of "asymptomatic" cases needs to happen. There may be hidden effects on the body that could put people at risk. And second, we need to know more about the transmissibility of Covid-19 among those cases.

Can you guys do a segment on the association of asthma and symptom severity. Studies have come out that show a complex connection, (ie those woth allergic asthma may not be at an elevated risk to develop severe symptoms, but those with non-allergic asthma may have an elevated risk).

Well, that explains the toilet paper situation.

My doctor susupects my new born and I may have had covid during March. He was put in the hospital and on a respirator while I only got a cough, nose run and sore throat. We’re both doing well now :) but my point is that we may have had covid before my doctor was even educated on it.

I saw this ~2 months ago in several MedCram videos. However, this is a good summary and a bit more accessible as well as much shorter. I will continue watching MC to stay up to date, but it is nice to see you are continuing to provide accurate content.
