Launched more than two years ago in Argentina, the new version of the Peugeot 208 has reached an unprecedented production record.
Indeed, the lion brand has just announced the production of the 100,000th unit produced in its factory in El Palomar, Argentina. Launched in Argentina in August 2020, the Peugeot 208 has become a popular model in the Argentina market. In addition, the alliance between the Fiat and PSA groups led to an increase in sales and production figures under the umbrella of Stellantis, a strategy that made the group reach higher levels.
Since the start of production in 208, the El Palomar plant has increased in size and production rate. In October 2021, Stellantis invited 663 new employees to create a new production strategy, resulting in an 88% increase in production level.
