Initial impression of 2013 Husqvarna TE 310

Husqvarna TE310R rips. I got one with a hundred and fifty miles on it from a guy that was going to jail and needed quick lawyer money. It also came with the 17 inch Supermoto setup as well. Best four grand I ever spent. The fuel injection is amazing and I think the previous owner worked out all of the bugs/issues cuz I've never had to do anything to this bike except oil/air filter changes, valve inspections and tires. The fuel injection and power delivery is amazing. Street legal!

If your still having the starting issue you should definitely adjust your intake valve. I bought the same one and I threw a fresh air filter, adjusted the intake valve to spec, timing didn’t need anything, and change out to ohlins forks and rear shock and rekluse stage 3. Those changes and it’s one of the best bike I’ve ever had. Only issue I’m having is that I think the magneto went out on mine somehow at 60 ish hours. It electric starts good 3 or 4 times and I’ll be riding all day long and it has to be kickstarted after that no matter what.

hey mate i have the txc310r and i love it. plenty of punch in the engine. the "hot start" is actualy a cold start but you can also use it when you start it up hot. mines the same with the kicking over but once its started and hot its piece of piss to start up. heaps of fun!!

the "hot start lever" is actually the choke for cold starting. when the bike is hot, if the tickover is too low it will be a real pain to start. i had that with mine. as soon as i raised the tickover it now starts first kick when it's warm

Nice 1st impression. I have the Husky 110th anniversary model "2014 TE310R" which pretty much is the 13 with new graphics and black wheels. Got it from a U.S Marine in 2015 who was relocating and only had 20 miles on it. Bike was brand new and stock. Power delivery sucked due to California emission regulation but ZipTy racing took care of that with the ECU upgrade and remap. Bike hauls ass after that ! And i thought i had a starter issue too after a year of riding but it turns out my stock radiator fan was not working properly and not keeping the bike cool. and due to over heating it was messing up the hydraulic clutch system...clutch fluid was dirty and gunked up when the i opened the reservoir. So after a New Trail Tech fan kit it resolved that issue. Bike starts perfectly with the self starter. Recently bike was sounding like crap, back firing, bogging a lot...thought it was something really bad again; but after a brand new battery bike is perfect and runs like its suppose to. I also have a 2002 CR250 set up for trail riding.

I'm looking at buying a 2015 model from a guy. However it doesn't have any lights and Im thinking, it might be a TC model. Same problem with the starter, as they all seem to be weak. Also hard to start with kick starter. Only has about 10 hrs on it, test drove it last night and it absolutely flies. I'm also 165 lbs and looking at the service manual to set up the suspension for my weight. Loved this thing after first 30 seconds of ride.

Your levers are not stock. I'm a one owner since 2013. Still love my te310r... that's the cold compression start choke. "Not for when is hot. I've had to only kick start my husky when motor hot an driver error stalled in a sudden stop in short turn. I used to like to blame it on cheap batteries with low crank amps. But i think it gets hydro locked, in away from the feul injection. Rider error stwisting the thottle dumping feul an stalling it.. couple kicks an she always fired right back up... batt/starter just didn't have power to do it after i slacked on skill.. got about 3, 000 miles on mine still love it... it hangs with the 450's

I have a chance to get the TXC model but not sure about reliability and getting parts. Are you still happy with this bike and have you figured out the electric start? Any reliability issues or other annoyances?

BRIAN, thats for the info for the new lingo terms. lol, I remember when we used to call "flame out"--- stalling it. guess Im getting old.
I'm thinking about installing a Rekluse clutch in it
