China to launch 3 astronauts into orbit as part of ambitious plan to complete space station

China will send three astronauts into orbit on June 17 in a high-stakes mission to complete its space station. They will spend three months on the Tiangong space station, which is still under construction. Beijing wants to complete the station by end-2022 as it pushes to establish itself as a space power. The Chinese station is intended to be used for 15 years and may outlast the International Space Station (ISS), which could be decommissioned in three years. Beijing is barred from the ISS, largely due to US concerns over national security.

Chinese government should clarify the intention of its space exploration: It is not about competition or domination of Space but for the good of humanity: Adaptation in prolonged living in Space in Tiangong Space Station, astronauts' landing on Mars and building of base station on the Moon is a precursor to China's future Long March of interstellar expedition to another blue planet with the goal of disseminating human species and civilization throughout the Milky Way. All countries are welcome to participate on board the Tiangong Space Station. Who knows, may be one day when cosmic upheaval is inevitable China will build Space Arks and evacuate Earth and save human from extinction. The Chicxulub asteroid wiped out all the dinosaurs and most life on Earth 66 million years ago, it can happen again in 2029 or 2036 by asteroid Apophis.

I fear their foundation in space technology is not mature because its a rush job. There are many blind spots which they have not addressed because the foundation of the technology does not originate from them (Aka stolen IP). There is little room for errors or incompetency in space. I hate to see disaster happening in outer space but the way it is being rushed right now by the CCP, it is inevitable. On earth, you can get away with a lot of errors and incompetency and low-quality design, but in space, no chance. If you cannot even control where your rocket debris land after launch, you cannot control the finer subtleties maneuvering in space. Good luck to these astronauts. I feel bad for them and their families.

Technically the astronauts will rendezvous with the Tianhe core module, which is the first part of the new Tiangong station that they launched in April this year. Compared to the previous Tiangong-1 and Tiangong-2 test stations, Tianhe is about 60% longer, more than twice as heavy, and can carry more supplies to support longer missions of three months instead of 30 days.
