Spitfire Lock-In Classics vs. Bones Nanorats – Are They Just a Copy? 🤔🔥

Today, we’re taking a first look at the Spitfire Wheels Formula 4 52mm Lock-In Classics and comparing them to the Bones Nanorats! 🛹 Are Spitfire just copying Bones and Powell, or is this a smart move?

Unfortunately, I can’t skate them just yet because of the rain, but I’ll be back with a full mic’d-up session and first impressions as soon as I can. Stay tuned for that!

🔥 Would you try these wheels? Do you think Spitfire is running out of ideas? Drop your thoughts in the comments!

Nice ones! Flip cutback wheels have the same kind of shape too. They came out years ago but are available only in 99a.

I'm all for it. I don't have any brand loyalties, I just look to see who makes the best and I try to spread my money out between the different companies to share the love. One company will make something innovative and the others gotta decide if they're gonna keep up or get left behind. Personally if Spitfire made a 54mm softslider version these, I'd buy em. Give some money to them, give some to Powell for the Heron 2 since it's the only symmetrical egg under 9", toss some dough to Grind King to try out those Lockers cause I dig people trying new things. Tradition gets stale. If companies didn't try to break the mold, we'd all still be riding around on wooden planks with roller skates.

Holy crap that board and those trucks look so bloody wide to me now. My decks used to be over 9” and over time I’ve slimmed down to 8.4-8.6 range.

Great video dude. Damn though, don’t you just love the new clean white wheels like that?

With that board width, sticker Steve GOT TO be compensating for something

I love this shape, built in nut saver for when my board goes flying. Cant do a coconut wheelie yet, I copied the shape of the nano style and printed my own 99D wheels. Free design for people who want to print some 52mm nut saver wheels on my page. Bought one of the 10 inch Lizard boards and am rocking them now, thanks for suggesting the Lizard board.

Been riding the 97a nanos for a minute now and am over the soft formulas so I bit on these in 99a. The concept totally works.

Bones needs an x99 nano rat shape
Spit needs a 97s locking classic

It would be great if they made it in a 54 and up as well

At first glance I saw the resemblance to the nano rats. Then the close up comparison shot made me think of the OJ Mini Combo wheels. I liked the shape of the original spitfire lock-ins. Can’t wait for the full review. For me I still dig the Bones X97

They look good. If I was in the market for new wheels I’d give them a whirl. But I’m set for wheels for years.

They look almost identical to my V4 Nano Rats, maybe sliiiightly wider on the curved edge, by a mm or so. If they had these in the new Spitfire 97 or 93 formula I'd be keen as to try them.

The hazard sure lock wheels are the same idea but insanely sharp

Saw these pop up Insta. I'll be keen to give them a go. I am a Spitfire fanboy however 🙋

The 93a soft sliders were for sure a 93. They are so soft and bouncy.
