An early episode of the TV series SUPERNATURAL featured a house supposedly haunted and the Ghost turned out to be a Tulpa come to life from people checking out a ghost hunting web site that made up stories about the house being haunted. The episode ended with the main characters wondering how many things exist in the world just because large numbers of people believe in them.

Maybe certain Cryptids are actually Tulpas. But they're more than simply visions or holograms. If they claw a tree or run through the snow then the claw Mark's and tracks will be present the next day.

This Tulpa theory reminds me of the plotline of "Wes Craven's New Nightmare", in which a supernatural entity takes on the physical form of Freddy Krueger because the character's place pop culture created fear and brought it to life.

I believe that a Tulpa would be a real Slender Man not the original but A one same thing with some Ghosts and depending one The Tulpas Power they could develop the full power or some of the power of the myth like werewolfs some may be able to be a full werewolf but some might only be able to do some of the myth that's why there are different werewolf sightings same with Ghosts and other things some are the same as myths others are only some part of the myth.

ghost are real they are us free from our body's but im going about Tulpas above.

Slender Man can be all the myth or only some like one only has tentacles and teleport while others the whole lot.

That was an interesting introduction to tulpas. A paranormal being I was aware of, yet never thoroughly looked into.

It originally reminded me of the imaginary friends kids have. Some will know it's imaginary and treat it as a game, whilst others could see them as a real being. It may be real in their mind, but not to others. Doesn't make it any less important to the witness, mind.

Not sure if I'm a believer of this. Certainly, if they were created from a strong focus, we'd be seeing them during times of extreme strife. However, eaxh to their own. It's a fascinating topic regardless.
