We will hopefully get lucky to get more than an inch of rain from this disturbance, which we need. Nothing more. Wind shear likely will inhibit anything more than even that!

There is NO CHANCE of the system currently being tracked in the Gulf of becoming a hurricane.
Pay close attention to the prevailing winds moving west to east right now.
That is called a "wind shear."
Above the tropical convergence zone is the northeasterly trade winds.
These winds will dominate until September, which will keep Hurricanes from forming.
