Duo Sequenza - Project Listen Up! Lakeshore PBS Special

This Lakeshore PBS special features an interview with classical music composer Jorge Muniz. The concert artist chamber music ensemble Duo Sequenza performs "Prologue: South Bend, Indiana," the opening movement of Muniz's 2016 composition, "South Shore Suite," inspired by the South Shore Rail Line and commissioned by the duo in honor of Indian's Bicentennial. The interview and flute and classical guitar performance took place at the historical Barker Mansion in Michigan City, Indiana, located near the Michigan City South Shore Station.

In collaboration with Duo Sequenza's "Project Listen Up!", this performance challenges listeners to hear today's classical music in a new way. "Project Listen Up!", now entering its fifth year, brings Duo Sequenza's artistry to Lake Michigan South Shore communities with vibrant performances in wildly non-traditional venues. "Project Listen Up!" is supported by South Shore Arts, the Indiana Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, Lakeshore PBS, and WVLP Community Radio.
