Some people say to point it against the wall but you're facing it outward. So what is it?

I have this air filter. It says that it has a filter replacement indicator, but I can't find it. How do I find it?

Where is the replace filter light? How do you know when to replace the filters?

I just purchased this from Walmart today. I have a couple questions, I noticed that the purifier comes with an internal filter compared to others. How often do you have to maintain or switch out the filter or how can we overall keep our purifier in good condition. It’s my first time buying one and got recommended by one of my coworkers. Any help?
