A group of people from the government had to sit down and make all these selfish rules so the F1 students can bleed money while taking away as little as possible. Then they said they should also pay taxes on their mundane stipend so they can barely stay alive. And Yeah, investment is allowed. Giving us money is totally ok but if you start earning money that's a no no sir

In short, you can not do anything. You can only spend, spend and spend. Or you can only watch people earn. Life of F1 and H1B guys is literally sucks. But don’t lose hope my friends: one advice and nobody can beat you to make yourself grow and that advice is “Be the king in your field” which means invest your time in making your skills which will pay you more than $200K-$300 K and you will not need to play in few bucks whom we call passive income. Don’t follow these YouTubers, they have their own things to work on. That’s the best way I can put it. There are many loopholes in the states, and there are many ways to go about it legally, those are not put out there for everyone to see, and that’s kinda the point. Network with people in the states and go attend workshops and events for starters.

Ok so I’m on F-1 visa. My dad has no US visa, and lives outside of the U.S. But he has a brokerage account that can buy and sell U.S stocks. What if he trades based on my ideas, and then transfer the money to me? If anyone asks I’ll just say my dad is smart enough to earn money and I’m just a spoiled little boy.
