i found this video VERY HELPFUL because it lead me to the 'Swift Playground - 'Learn to Code 1'

i started with 'Swift Playground - 'Get Started with Code' which felt (for me as a beginner) like it had quite large (and frustrating) jumps in understanding/ comprehension.

'Get Started with Code' chapter 'Using the NOT operator (!)* resulted in days-long searches leading me here.

* i simply don't get it the way it's being presented, true/ false/ false is true etc., hoping the much more detailed 'Learn to Code 1' will help the 'penny' to drop.

i find 'Learn to Code 1' much much better and frustration is replaced with enjoyment like literally it's the way one is taught/ not what is being taught.

which is strange because 'logic' suggests 'Get Started' would be the 'simpler' (the 1st place) 'to start' and once 'one' has decided to continue 'Learn to Code 1' would be the more 'difficult' (the 2nd place) 'to continue.'

in a day i am upto the 'functions' chapter 'collect, toggle, repeat' and the 'penny' has really dropped on a couple of some fundamental stuff.

Started Swift a couple of days ago. Also did the mistake like benuchie below and started with Get started with Code, which I thought is the first step...

I also suffered from jumping from one topic to another without really explaining the previous one all the time.

Now I'm progressing on Learn to Code 1 and it's much easier to understand and work with. Also found your YouTube channel while trying to find some other answers for certain tasks and compare with mine.

You explain everything in a smooth and easy to understand way.

PS Do you plan to upload the rest of Learn to Code 1 or even go with Learn to Code 2?

Tyler--my version of playgrounds doesn't offer the keyboard option in the bottom right to find the exclamation point and the exclamation point doesn't seem to be working for the instructions. Any advice or thoughts on what could be the issue?
