Resilience-Based Design: Improving Reliability Under Uncertain Conditions

With the increased vulnerability of transportation infrastructure to extreme events and the consequences of climate change, resilience of transportation and infrastructure assets has become more critical. The extent and variability of type (e.g., walls, slopes and structural foundations) makes geotechnical assets and foundation the most critical and challenging assets to design under the changing climate impacts and the extreme weather events. This webinar discusses the workflow and components of a recently developed geotechnical resilience-based design (GRBD) framework.
