Connecticut man says his stepmother held him hostage for decades

The teachers and principal called police and DCF repeatedly back before he was pulled out of school, and still nothing happened. The principal even went to the house to try and check on him, but there's only so much school staff can do before risking a harassment or trespassing charge themselves.

I'm astounded by the allegations, but I can't imagine how this lawyer or any lawyer can defend this woman. 68 lbs., drinking out the toilet? 8 by 9 room, with 2 hours free time? 20 years?? and the lawyer states that she's blown away with these allegations??? Such a tragic story.
