Following on from Adobe MAX and the release of Premiere Rush CC, I'm here to show you how I edit video on an iPad Pro and have it sync up with all my devices and even Premiere Pro.

I know Premiere Rush isn't the first video editing app for iPad, however it does seem to be one of the first legitimate editing apps that will work cross-device and cross-platform - something which I am very excited by. I always struggle when travelling to actually make a start on editing my videos, as it takes considerable planning and effort to find a significant amount of time to setup and dedicate time to editing. With Premiere Rush CC and my new iPad Pro, I'm hoping to bridge that gap and create a workflow that allows me to edit during my available travel downtime.

In this video, I run through a tutorial showing my experience editing a sequence on Premiere Rush CC, using the iPad Pro and give thoughts on how this first version of the software can work for me. Although I'm only looking at Premiere Rush as an accessory to Premiere Pro, I'm super excited to see how things will develop in the future!

It looks amazing. I find it crazy how far technology has advanced and embraced mobile along the way. Thanks for the overview, Joe.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. First, I like your sound. Second, nice way to explain all the features. Especially that I can open premiere rush videos on my desktop in premiere pro. Keep going!

Hello,

Whenever I try to upload a 1920*1080 video resolution into Adobe Premier Rush the quality is lower when editing. I have created my clips/raw videos using two different platforms at high resolutions. I can play my clips from my computer and I can see them in high quality. (All of my videos are MP4 format). My view settings on Adobe Rush are High under the preview quality tab. I don't know what to do because when I export or edit the videos the resolution is lower than my original clips. I appreciate any insights. I want to make sure adobe don't compress my videos.

I am using a Windows 10 desktop version

Very helpful. I edited a full 6minute video on the iPad, took an hour to render.

Great video, thanks mate. I'm guessing you used a laptop to upload your footage to the cloud? I was just wondering if there were a workflow where you could only use an iPad to start to edit straight out of a shoot. Aka - will it ever be possible to plug an external hard drive to an iPad?

hey, any post reason you've got loads of noise in the INT coffee shop sequence - is that just ISO in camera or something the 'Rush CC' created? Cheers

Can you add external audio in post without connecting it to a computer? I’m trying to set up a small kit with external lav recording to voice notes, that only requires my iPhone to cut together, so I don’t have to bring a laptop traveling.
