Ans 10 m/s. First find t by √2h/g and then use projectile formula of height. H= u² sin²theta/2g

For height, time = √2h/g
G =10
= √2*5/10
=√1 =1

From base to top = t = 1
Therefore, from base to top to base = 2t = 2

Lets solve vertical and horizontal separately,

For vertical, from base to top,
= U = ?, v=0, g=10, t=1 (bcoz for half cycle t=1)
=> V-u = -gt
-u = -g×1
U = 10 (for vertical)

Horizontal = full cycle => t=2
U=?, distance=2.5, t=2
U=dist/t
U= 2.5/2 = 1.25


Total velocity= √v(horizontal)²+v(vertical)²

=√10²+1.25²
== Approximately 10.2!

Sir 10.3 is the answer, first calculate u from range formula and then put that u = v ( for the vertical motion ) and then calculate u from v²=u²-2as

how is v=10? my method was:
2.5=vt
-5=-0.5gt^2
this gives t=1 and v=2.5
(2.5)^2=u^2 - 2gh, which gives u=10.3
can someone please help me?
