Why Gandhi's Words on Identity Matter More Than Ever #Shorts

Growing up, I read a quote by Gandhi that has always stuck with me, he said:

"I'm a Hindu and I'm a Muslim, and I'm a Christian, and I'm a Jew, and I'm a Buddhist."

It reminds me that we shouldn't let one label define us and limit our perspectives.

This clip is from @londonrealtv where we spoke about the pitfalls of identifying too strongly with any particular affiliation and the importance of being open to different points of view.

Wow. I'm glad I'm very open minded. I'm glad that I've learned that truth, is in the eye of the beholder. That EVERYTHING is based on everyone's own perception. And I learned about myself and why I do what I do. And in doing that I've learned how others are and it helped me grow beyond my beliefs

Totally agree Vishen. Something I've stood by for a long time is that we are all human beings and all the things we're told divide us are imaginary walls intended to separate us by those few who benefit from a lack of unity amongst us (divide and conquer is the oldest strategy in the book). In the face of global injustice for profit we must stand together. Be careful about what governments and media would have you believe as they provoke separation. We all belong and we belong together 🙏❤️

Gandhi it's got to be God's right hand man. He's the Joan of arc in man form. Or he's the universe's conscious

He’s wrong. The idea is nice, but it’s also dangerous not be affiliate or two identify as something because you can dilute and lose the capacity to have a strong criteria and arguments. And worst to think that everything anything and anyone are correct..
