The idea is great but the selling point does not appeal to me and maybe this is biased since I am a CFI/cargo pilot myself but you are talking about removing another demographic chunk of employment opportunities for the future generation of aviators. I am not against automation but removing the human factor completely from the cockpit is a huge mistake. If an airline is non unionized you might as well say good bye to employment positions for the next generation of pilots.

Very interesting. It has huge potential. With computerized ATC it will be quite trivial to do AI piloting so that's what we should obviously do. And this is not limited to larger planes, it could be very applicable and useful for GA. Anything from LSA to private jets. If you could start flying without a license and have a private jet without permanent staff employment. There is really no need to have two seats and a lot of junk in the nose of a plane.

Loading crew can' t be substituted by anything smarter, too skilled to copy.
Pilots will instead be a land base remote operators, like UAV military tech... coffee cup job.
