GORGONZOLA Cheese Review

Today I review the superb Gorgonzola cheese from the Piedmont and Lombardy regions of Italy. We taste-test Gorgonzola Dolce against Gorgonzola Piccante - both excellent cheeses!

If you're not sure if you like blue cheese, definitely give Gorgonzola Dolce a try. It's sweet, creamy and delectable. If you're already into your blue cheeses, why not have a bash at the magnificent Gorgonzola Piccante, a heavy weight that pulls no punches, yet still has the creamy delights of its sweeter sibling.

If you'd like to see me check out some other cheeses, please let me know in the comments. Always happy to eat cheese in the name of research!

Thanks for watching! Please like, share, comment and subscribe and remember to hit the bell to be notified when a new video goes up.

I could only watch this having just eaten some Gorgonzola Dolce and wondering at the mastery of the cheese maker. We are in our South African summer so it has to come out of the fridge and I should have let it reach room temperature but couldn’t wait but it was still wonderful. Thank you Italy

WoW dude...sooo interesting and "educational" ;) ...you look fantastic, I love gorgonzola, I don't remember if you already suggested it throught the vid but in my opinion it tastes like GOD with a "stalk of celery" (hope I wrote it correctely) and also raw in small pieces on a freshly baked pizza, when it cools out a bit not to destroy all the flavours you mentioned in this nice video. Take good care mate! And keep up the good work....really!

Hello Rufus, I just discovered your 2 Blue Cheese videos, very informative and enjoyable to watch. If I may add to Vamosss 69's comment below: I believe Vamosss 69 was suggesting in Italian, NOT to eat Gorgonzola rind, due to its being considered as part of the "container" of the paste portion, and possibly a source of bacterial contamination in transport, etc. After much debate, the Gorgonzola Consortium published a suggestion in the EU in 2008, that the rind be removed before eating Gorgonzola, for safety precautions. It is not toxic, but better safe than possibly sorry. Thank you for reading!

If it tastes similar to bleu cheese I have no interest in it.
