LYRICS

I hope you know,
You don’t have to say you’re sorry
You don’t have to live with the heartache you keep
Cause I don’t need, no apologies

I tried to write you out to get some closure
The more the years went by, we got cold shoulders
The more I realized as I got older
We can turn it all around

So don’t you beat yourself into the ground

I hope you know,
You don’t have to say you’re sorry
You don’t have to live with the heartache you keep
Cause I don’t need, no apologies

I know you tried your best, I know you struggled
The cards that you got dealt, they gave your trouble
Now I see the you in me, and I see double
We can turn it all around

I hope you know,
You don’t have to say you’re sorry
You don’t have to live with the heartache you keep
Cause I don’t need, no apologies
We don’t have to change the story,
You don’t have to carry the weight that you keep
Cause I don’t need, no apologies

We can turn it all around,
if you don’t turn your back on me

I hope you know,
You don’t have to say you’re sorry
You don’t have to live with the heartache you keep
Cause I don’t need, no apologies

I’m the actor playing the Bunny ears Grandfather the contribution I made shooting this emotional music video i wasn’t acting..Papa Roach’s great song put me in that great zone reliving my own personal pain of isolation of losing my alcoholic father!

15 years ago they've been making songs for angry teens. Now they're making music for grown ups. Thank you for staying with us through all these years!

Bands from when I was a kid are still keeping rock music alive!

You know this band is special when you've listened to them for the past 20 years and their new music still feels as if you were listening to them as a 13 year old.

If this song teaches anything, it is to make peace with any family you have before it's too late. I never had that real opportunity 14 years ago when my father passed away. Don't make this same mistake guys, it'll haunt you forever.

I lost my dad in 2023 to alcoholism. He had cancer which he overcame but the emotional damage he went through when he became sick, he gave up on his own life while he was still living and gave himself organ failure which is what truly took his life. I was 25 and he was 1 month away from being 79. I planned an entire redo for my adult life with him and I never got to because I moved states away at the age of 21. To hear the dad in this music video say to his son that he’s “beyond help” is what broke me.
This video hits really close to home and is one of my new favorite songs.
Thank you for helping me heal my own wounds.

This song reminds me of my relationship with my father. He was an alcoholic my entire childhood and into my adult life, to the point that for my own good, I had to cut him out of my and my children's lives. My father managed to get sober, and we reconnected and got very close in the last fifteen years of his life. He was a massive part of my children's lives, but no apology could be given for the years before his sobriety - but none was needed. What we did and needed to do was move on from that time to create new memories together. This song still hits that raw nerve of the tenuousness of our initial reconnection and the power of love, forgiveness, and compassion. When my father died, it hurt so bad because I lost my DAD - not just some drunk I knew as a kid.

Such a needed message these days. Forgiveness and reconciliation rather than bitterness and resentment. Don't let others own your emotional well being.

I don't understand how papa roach continues to release these absolute bangers time after time where bands like breaking Benjamin and three days grace just fell flat after a while
