I am building a Social Media Application that will use NodeJS for backend, and Postgres SQL Database.

I scare for AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean and those other Big names because there's always some form of vendor lock-in, and they can kill you by suddenly sending you scale up prices of unexpected $1, 000 dollar usage bill.

To avoid those unfortunate circumstances, I want to host on a normal hosting provider that I will pay for.

In 2024, which hosting provider would you recommend that:

1.) Is stable, will not tie me into a vendor lock-in, and I can migrate from them whenever the time comes.

2.) They can host a Node Application with Postgres Database, and supports Web Sockets.

Needing to hear from you soon.

Regards.
