Piebaldism ... What is it and Can it be treated? - TikTok SkinDoc

This beautiful person has a genetic condition known as Piebaldism. It's a disorder in which melanocytes fail to migrate. So normally in embryogenesis you have your melanocytes that start out at around your spinal cord, and then they migrate around and connect in the front.

However, in this condition, the melanocytes don't fully get there, and it presents with these midline anterior de pigmented patches. There's no treatment, however, there's no other associated abnormalities, and so it's a strictly cosmetic condition, and this patient is already beautiful, so nothing really needs to be done.
