WALKING IN SURREY | CHIDDINGFOLD | GUNSHOTS | OLD PUB | CIDER

A 6 mile circular walk in and around the lovely Surrey village of Chiddingfold. Lots of history in the village, especially The Crown pub. The routes takes us through some lovely stretches of woodland and across some sections of railway. Lots of stiles! Some steep sections that afforded decent views across the Weald. Weather was very pleasant.

Loved the village esp. the church. Appears to be Catholic by the windows and indoor decoration. The old churches are the best in my opinion. When I lived in Europe, I loved to tour Churches around Europe. You can tell the builders were skilled in their crafts.

Thank you for this video, especially the exploration of the Crown Pub. Exteriors were used in Chiddingfold in filming "The Years Between" in 1946, a wonderful film based on a Daphne du Maurier play. I like to imagine Emeric Pressburger, Michael Powell, Michael Redgrave, Valerie Hobson, Flora Robson, James McKechnie and the crew relaxing here at the Crown pub after a day of filming.
