Then you can force your language in custom links. Keep this on. Yes, it affects all links on your website, so this should be great. Here we have different kind of language switchers. So we have the shortcode, a menu item, or a floating language selection. All of them can be customized the same way. So if you want to have a full language name without a flag, this is the option you should choose. A short language name, flags with name, flags with short name, or just only the flags. Most of the time I only use flags with short language names. I really like that option. But you can choose for the menu, for example, only the flags, and for the floating thing you can use whatever you want. So this way you can customize your entire language switchers. later on I'm going to delete the floating language selection as I really don't like this on my website...

Hi Matt, really glad to see you respond to all comments, my question is after translation, is it possible to make the page, in ur case say load in dutch even though the original content was in English. Great tutorial! Thanks Matt! I have two issues:
1) My shortcode is acting like an image. How can I fix this? It doesn't show the option for other languages, and the white box is much wider than the flag and text.
2) How can I make the words black in the mobile and tablet head menu navigation, as it appears in the custom language? After buying the Personal license, when I switch from the custom language to the other two languages, the words in the mobile and tablet head menu are not visible. I can press them but not see them. My navigation menu background is white. Even when I change the head menu font color, it only applies to the custom language page. The computer view for other languages shows the previous head font and the mobile/ tablets views keeps the words invisible.

what if i dont want to translate an email? it doesnt work when i add the email in translate string and i believe the new version of the plugin has Getext string

I have been using this addon for a while but there are two things I don't like.
1 that you can't make pages with different language layouts.
2 when I update some text in the main language it automatically erases all the translations of that part.
Would you recommend another plugin like polylang but faster?
