I saw people with 100, 000 steps a day, just don't know how they do it. Because the gyms are closed my steps decrease but I'm ok with that. I run early in the morning and late evening, plus a little exercise throughout the day. Cheating DEFEATS the purpose.

There is a guy on my Fitbit Challenges who always doubles all of our steps and we know he must be cheating. It is sad. He hasn’t lost any weight.

They had to bring in a doctor to tell us that

My company is doing a step-counting thing this year. And they display the people with the top places. You're only allowed to get in 30, 000 steps a day. I'm running for 2 hours in the morning that gets me 2/3 of the way there. And then throughout the rest of the day if I walk a lot I can get the last 10, 000 steps in. This is one of the hardest challenges I've done. And I'm averaging about 16 miles a day. It's not necessarily the hardest thing I've ever done. But the challenge lasts for 56 days and keeping that pace up every single day for 56 days is going to be exceedingly difficult. If I found out at the end that I lost someone that put their Fitbit in a dryer I would be so pissed off. That's like losing to someone who took a bus to finish a marathon.

Sheer laziness, just exercise and get it over with. I did a fitbit step challenge for the first time recently and noticed that people were gaining unrealistic amounts of steps in a short period of time. Its just not worth it. As a nurse and a person who has been an avid exerciser my whole life and has a competitive athletic background, I'm disgusted with how people treat this device. Its pure laziness and they should be ashamed of themselves. Like the doctor in the video said, you're only cheating yourself because the lack of actually exercising can and will catch up to you.

They should just invent a 'FatBit' - all it would need to be is a long, flexible strip of plastic with some sort of unit of measure labelled along it. All you need to do is wrap it around your mid section to gain a measurement of your gut, and attempt to lower this measurement over time with exercise and healthy eating! I'm surprised no one has ever thought of this!!

Suddenly America's new 70% obesity rate numbers make a lot more sense. It's seems totally bizarre to compare this country's culture to somewhere like Norway for example where walking and hiking are practically national passtimes.

Cheating on FITBIT is crazy! I can't believe people throw it in the Dryer and add their own LOG ACTIVITY on the Dashboard. Some even shake them up and down during the day. I have used them for three years as I have two youtube channels and I LOVE THEM. I workout 11/2 to 2 hours a day and have the body in my profile picture at age 56. I will NEVER cheat myself because I like to honestly workout with dumbbells, and a bar with free weights. I also do thirty minutes to one hour of cardio a day. The REAL FABIO from the I can't believe its not butter commercial is the same age as me and works out 2 hours a day as well! HE HAS AN EXCELLENT BODY! Working out and using FITBITS honestly IS the FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH!

There is someone on my Garmin connect group that has over 60k steps per day. She is definitely cheating. This is so sad. The whole point of steps is motivation for exercise. Well, the results will show. You can't cheat health.

Most people are probably using the Achievement app where it pays $10 for every 10000 points earned from steps. I use it for mobile tracking because I don’t have a wearable yet and it takes about 3-4 months for me to get that many points. Damn cheaters.
