FSX Basics Tutorial 1 (Cessna 172) Cockpit familiarisation and Take Off

Welcome to my series on how to fly in FSX, using the default Cessna 172.

During the series, I will start with the basics of controls before moving onto take off, landing, crosswinds and circuits. In a later series, I will move onto instrument flight and navigation.

A very brief intro to the primary flight controls and instrumentation of the default Cessna 172. We then take a simple flight explaining the take off and effects of controls. This is similar to the experience one might have during a trial flying lesson.

Can you make a video on how to setup your joysitck/saitek yoke, rudder and throttle quadrant? I have a the yoke, but I have no idea if I have things set correctly. Cheers

This was a very good instruction video and you describe everything in detail so it's easy to understand for a newbie (and even for someone from Sweden, like me). It would be great with an updated one for X-plane 11. And if you make a video like this and also with ILS landing, using the GPS and stuff like that. And maybe the same type of video with other types of plane, but with the basic stuff. I think this one was really great!

Nice one mate - I was going over your channel and was actually looking for some Cessna 172 stuff and found this. I have my P1 VATSIM but man it was last yearsince I last flown and I have forgotten how to fly the confounded aircraft. lol Thanks for the video which is ringing some bells

I do like your presentation, but I would suggest you turn down SIM volume, and turn up your head mic, as once the plane took off, it was a struggle to hear you at all.

Hey i was wondering how does you're yoke reset automaticly when you push it up or down ? mine stays the way i pushed it and i would like to change it
