Bruce played this song to Clarence Clemons in the hospital before he died. "This train". That simple metaphor always moves me deeply.

In Bruce's words:
"I had a feeling he could hear me because he could squeeze your hand. When I first went to see him, there was some response to your voice and to you being in the room it felt like, so I took a hunch. I knew he was going to die and so I brought the guitar in and strummed a song called Land of Hope and Dreams."

I was there, my 38 th, first saw him in Slane Castle Ireland in 1985, sold ! And what a magnificent Sunday evening it was, a clear blue sky and the Boss was absolutely on song, incredible.

Have seen BS live on 2 occasions - first, a hundred years ago in Newcastle, England. The second, more recently in Perth, Australia. I’d give my left n#t to see him again.😊
