This was actually a very beautiful sentiment. As someone who grew up with Toonami from day 1, Toonami's one of the last 'networks, ' that I feel actually give a shit about their audience on a human level.

Cheers, guys.

We didn't just lose Moltar and Zorak from Space Ghost. We lost Dr. Weird and his assistant Steve from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Anybody remember back in the day when they had the promo asking whether or not Toonami was a failure? Well, Mr. Croker, it wasn't. And your legacy will never be forgotten. The revolution will never die.

Oh my fucking god that sucks.
This is a huge loss to the Cartoon Network/Toonami/Adult Swim family.
Condolences to all his family and friends.
RIP.

I still miss Moltar, he started Toonami and it is sad the voice actor died 5 years ago. This was a bittersweet tribute to Martin.

This is a tribute to Clay Martin Crocker who did the voice of Moltar, the original host of Toonami from 1997 to 1999. I think this message is Moltar telling his successor, TOM that he's officially retired permanently and the "money oven" is where he's going spend his permanent retirement from Toonami, even though he's already retired from Toonami for nearly two decades.

RIP C. Martin Croker. I met him in 2012 and he was absolutely awesome to talk to. His sketches were amazing as well!

One of the OGs of the pre-Adult Swim era Cartoon Network. Thanks for the memories and a childhood full of laughs. Godspeed.

Croker voiced Moltar and TOM 1.0; after he was killed by an 'intruder' in late 1999, Steve Blum took over as the new voice actor, starting with TOM 2.0. Then came TOM 3.0 and TOM 4.0 before Cartoon Network pulled the plug on the block in late 2008 (Adult Swim picked up the pieces by reviving TOM 3.0 in May 2012 [during an episode of Inuyasha, TOM 3 and his 'brother' TOM 4 had a little conversation]). During Intruder 2, TOM came face-to-face with the first intruder, only he had parts of TOM 1.0. TOM then had to look for a decommissioned planet called Shogo 162 by risking the destruction of both the intruder's ship and the Absolution Mk. III by flooding the unidentified ship's reactor core. Now the Saturday night block is on a new ship called the Vindication since Shogo 162 is dead. All of those Toonami rebrands and host changes give me memories. [NOTE: Blum also did voice acting in various video games, some of which TOM 3 reviewed]

I still love this little segment. There's something inspirational and emotional behind this moment. The way it plays out is absolutely touching and handled with care.

It shows that even with all the change to the network and how they structured themselves, the guys who run Cartoon Network and mainly Adult Swim and Toonami never forgot their roots. They show that they truly understand their audience.

_"Hey, TOM. It's been under a score year. Alright, listen up. The idea of Toonami started in a spaceship called the 'Absolution' and you have lived, died and relived several times by now. On the ground or in space, Toonami won't be the same without us. As of last week, I've been called back to Moltor for an important meeting and I probably won't be coming back, for now. There's a mighty oven waiting for me. Just wanted you to know I always thought I was the better Toonami host than you, because I was and still am the original. Good luck never being able to fill my boots, sucker. Anyway, let's all be clear: I've never found a worthy successor, but I'm just lucky enough to have someone taking the helm of Toonami in my honor. This is for my late, greatly beloved wife Linda. And to my great friend and rival TOM, I am now officially in your debt. Stay gold."_

I think we can rest assure that Moltar will be enjoying his retirement on his home planet, most likely relaxing, having a beer, and watching old reruns of his favorite show CHips...he has lead a successful career if you think about, of course trying to kill Space Ghost on more than occasion when he was super-villain (then again Space Ghost as funny as he was on C2C, was a real pompous ass). I say Moltar was more of an anarchist on much broader terms. But later giving up a life of crime, going into television and becoming a successful director and camera guy on Ghost Planet, even though being constantly infuriated by Space Ghost's antics as talk-show host, but giving so much hilarity to the show's bizarre comedy style. He was probably the most efficient and level-headed character on the show.

Moltar would later become the first host and producer for Cartoon Network's action animation block Toonami, so we definitely have to thank him for that, especially introducing iconic action shows from the East. Even from a former super-villain, Moltar definitely gave good advice on heroism, friendship, and teamwork during some of Toonami's segments.

Well...*sigh*...enjoy your retirement "Lava-Man, " you deserve it...and thanks for all the laughs from childhood up to adulthood. And like TOM said, "may your ovens stay forever lit." R.I.P. Clay
