Can't argue with the bang for the buck engine and performance. $35k for a 455hp V8, RWD performance chassis vs. $30k for a Honda Civic SI with 200hp, FWD. That's not a dig on the Honda.

Nice review! I own this exact same car (except 2021). Love the fact that people think its "just a v6" until I step on the gas

For those saying "buy an SS" for that $$$, one size does not fit all. Some owners want the options as much as the performance. A very personal decision. It's nice that Chevy offers choice. Dodge does the same with it's R/T and Scat Pack lines. Get what YOU want with all types of choices. We live in good times for V8 cars and I'm afraid it's all going to end soon with this electric nonsense. Get 'em while you can.

LT1 is awesome but only check one option, the infotainment upgrade is worth it for $900.

You can option yourself right out of affordability. This trim with base model would make an excellent car to mod.

Man, the Camaro looks really good in almost all the damn trims. Love the vents on this car. Also love the stripes on the rims

I got a 1SS about a year ago for around $35k. I think if you’re going to spend close to 40k, just try to get a 1SS with no options. For $45, 000, you should be getting the 1SS 1LE track package with 295 tires in the front and 305s in the rear, Recaro seats, Alcántara shift knob, etc.

I just picked up a 2021 pre-owned base LT1 with 5k miles and absolutely love it! I was shocked by how comfortable the ride it! The cloth seats are better than expected! no bells and whistles, just power and a Bose stereo lol. although, very little though when it comes to a persons cell phone and no place to put it. Great car for the value and just love that V8 sound!

The problem is the low cost models soon get a lot of options that it goes back up in price n loses the purpose of low cost

for 43k thats cheap your getting a brand new car with a 6.2 v8 10 speed and a decent interior. they finally made an rs badge actually mean something but people are still gonna think its a v6

Rs and Red Line package are different. Red Line gives you, the red of course .and red inside. Black wheels, the lower front extension piece (kind of like a splitter) A black spoiler and blacked out between tail lights. Black mirrors. And a red line on mirrors. And your supposed to have red marks on the left side below spoiler. This is the second Red Line Camaro I have seen like this, my LT1 has red striping on both sides below spoiler. The RS gives you. Signature LED lighting Dark tint taillamps Black front and rear bowtie emblems, RS-specific front grilles
Decklid-mounted lip spoiler, Since it's the LT you already get part of the RS package and that is the 40 profile tires and 20" wheels. The Camaro you show here is just like mine, same options. Mine is the Satin Steel Gray Metallic.

I’m a mopar guy but if you compare this LT1 to the R/T challenger in power to weight ratio the LT1 is still cheaper and it’s better buy because you get more power out of a 6.2 compared to the 5.7 hemi and you also get 10 gears instead of 8 and not to mention the LT1 is 700 pounds lighter than the challenger. So the answer is yes because you’re getting more bang for your buck in a LT1 compared to the R/T challenger and charger but in this video the car had 2 unnecessary options which is the redline edition and the RS package which made it cost over 40k.

Here’s Ben video reviewing the R/T challenger and you will realize that the LT1 is still affordable and gives you more bang for your buck.

I have the plan jane single exhaust on my 2022 LT1, initially I was disappointed with the lack of rumble, but once you punch it, it roars. So, I appreciate the stealthy idle and cruise more now. I also own a '05 GTO with SLP Loudmouth 2 catback, so glad the Camaro is more tame.

Why would anyone one spend 43k on the lt1 instead of just getting the SS? Might as well stretch the extra money to get the better looking front end and these options as standard lol

Only 3 options needed:
Sunroof
Tech package (Bose sound)
Dual mode exhaust

I think that's a Redline RS. I don't think the red accents are part of the RS package. That's $2315 Redline option if not mistaking.

Camaros are nice. But drive a used Vette and any mustang before purchasing. You can feel why the Vette body sets it apart from any mustang or Camaro with a similar engine.
