Speedy grade in 3D LUT Creator, Part 31

Hello! In this video I will match a skin color of this photo to the reference, which will be this famous painting!

I will copy the skin tone using Color Gradient Matching function in 3D LUT Creator. The most detailed video about this tool is on the channel, I will leave a link to it in comments. Before working with this tool, I need to take skin samples of different brightness levels from my photo and reference image. I’m finished with my working image. Now I’m going to do the same with the reference. I’ll open Gradient Analyzer and sort my color samples by Luminance. Everything is ready to match the skin. I select Edit- Match color gradient to the reference. If I set Luminance to 100%, the image will come out too dark, so I move Luminance slider to the left. I get color spots on the skin at high variability, so I will reduce variability until they disappear. I’m going to adjust the saturation so that the lips of the model stand out in color, but not too much. Done! Here is a photo before, here is after. As you can see, there is nothing complicated in matching a skin tone in 3D LUT Creator. The tool works perfectly!

The skin may look too yellow with a gray background, but if you change it to something appropriate, everything will change for the better.

Finally, I will show you how to adjust the effect of of this edit on the photo. The easiest way to do this is to use Blend slider. But in this case, you will weaken the whole effect, that is, you will decrease the transfer of color, brightness and saturation. In my case, curves play a huge role in creating color, so it is much more convenient to adjust the color using Curves slider. I can either increase yellowness or reduce it. At the same time I preserve transfer of brightness and saturation from the reference. Here is before, here is after.
